After we arrived in Craiova, things started moving quickly!
I started working at the university and trying to learn my students and the environmental differences between Romanian education in comparison to the United States. I have learned most of their names now! I was nervous about this because it is a higher amount of students than I am used to.

I quickly began going out to see the area and try new food places! I am a foodie at heart. I love trying new places and foods. We went to the Nicolae Romanescu park which is a short walk away from us and it was amazing! I highly recommend visiting. It's a large park with cool features like a miniature zoo and a restaurant.

The best soup and bread!

Beautiful scenery!

The restaurant in the park overlooks the water.

I tried to get out and explore more. Although, in the past year I have faced some challenges, my goal is still to push myself forward. Everyone deserves the chance to do more and strive for better! I took up walking a lot during the autumn season. I found a festival nearby and watched them setup the Christmas market! The Christmas market is huge. I also found my regular spots to sit and do work when I want to get out of the house.

This was a festival in October. Traditional Romanian attire was here!

Finding spaces to work in... like Starbucks
I'm very blessed and thankful to be able to be in Romania. Learning the language and trying different things every week gives me joy. Thank you to those supporting me!
